    Abstract

A quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) is a technology that overcomes the physical limitations of CMOS technology and designs existing digital logic circuits using nano-scale cells. In this paper, we propose a D flip-flops with excellent space efficiency. The D flip-flop is a sequential circuit element that stores one-bit of information. The previous D flip-flops have the disadvantage of low space efficiency. We can improve the space efficiency of the proposed D flip-flop by using a simple inverter and, to improve the stability of the signal by applying a clocking method to the inverter. Finally, we analyze the efficiency of the proposed D flip-flop.
